JV Baseball beats Grand Haven 9-2

The JV Baseball team opened conference play beating Grand Haven last night, 9-2.  The Bulldogs broke open a 2-2 game with 3 runs in the 5th and 4 more in the 6th.  The big hit was a three-run triple by Brian Cappiello.  Jake Blok, Devon Rivera and Jake Garbarino also drove in runs for the bulldogs. 

Dropped Conference Opener

The Varsity Baseball team dropped their conference opener yesterday to Grand Haven by a score of 4-0.  The Buccaneers scored all 4 runs in the first two innings of the contest, before starter Tyler Valicevic settled down and stymied the Grand Haven offense the rest of the way.  Tyler allowed 6 hits and struck out

Congratulations to the JV Boys golf team for winning the pre-season conference match Wed. at Braeside Golf Club in Rockford.  The team of Stephen Vickery, Cameron Stadler, Mitch Bouma, Nick Hoffman, Reed Potter and Denny Roe shot a team score of 175.  Stephen Vickery had the best individual score of the tournament with a 39

Grandville Jv Soccer beats Caledonia 3-1

JV girls soccer continued their winning ways last night by defeating a strong Caledonia team 3-1.  Megan Boss, Payton Atwell, and Rachel Braginton scored for the Lady Dawgs.  Assisting in the goals were Kelsey York and Mason Giles.    Kaylin Russell led the team on defense with Kristy Bos and Kiley Fawley also contributing.  The Dawgs

The Junior Varsity Baseball Team got a nice non-conference win versus Tri-County Tuesday beating the Vikings 14-1.  Zach Hekman threw 3 strong innings, striking out 6 for the win on the mound and Chris Westra and Devon Rivera both threw and inning apiece to seal the victory.  Brendan Kelly led the hitters with 2 and Jordan Russell set the table all day

The varsity water polo team lost to the #1 team in the state Rockford by a score of 14-3.  Alyssa Wysocki had 11 saves in goal for the Dawgs. Scoring for Grandville was Lauren Wynalda with all 3 goals.

Jv Girls Water Polo Suffers Tough Loss

The JV girls water polo team suffered a hard fought loss to Rockford Tuesday night by a score of 5-7.  The JV Dawgs are now 4-3 on the season.  Kim Jaglowski had 11 saves in goal for the Dawgs.  Scoring for Grandville were: Allie Kalsbeek 3, Kelly Dietrich 1, and Sydney Steele 1.
