|The Men’s Cross Country Team finished in 15th place out of 28 schools at the Michigan State Invitational on Friday. Cass Millenbach was the Bulldogs top finisher coming in 52nd place with at time of 16:47. The foursome of Logan Bellgraph, Sam Cornett, Matt Smith, and Mitchell Parsons all finished within six seconds of each other. Logan was 84th with a 17:05. Sam was 90th with a 17:09. Matt was 91st also with a 17:09,Mitchell was 96th with a 17:11. Kellen Rau finished in 116th place with a 17:21, and Stephen McGraw was 179th with an18:06. Sam and Kellen ran personal bests. Logan and Mitchell ran season bests.
The Varsity Men’s Cross Country Team ran at M.S.U. on Friday, however, the rest of the team ran at the Sparta Invitational on Saturday. The Varsity team of Shayden Fisher, Todd Cornett, Brett Slagh, Zack Kribbitt, Joe DuBois, Shawn Roncka, and Joey Lawrence finished in 3rd place out of nine schools. All seven runners ran their season best while Shayden, Todd, and Shawn ran their personal bests ever.
The J.V. team consisting of Jake Roncka, Colin Freeman, Hayden Johnson, Aidan Grabill, Frankie Spica, Shea Cole, and Jalynn Patterson finished in 2nd place and brought home a trophy for their efforts. Again all seven runners ran their season best times. Hayden, Frankie, and Jalynn ran their best times ever. It was a good weekend for the Bulldog harriers. Next up is the first OK-Red Jamboree of the season at West Ottawa at 5:40 on Tuesday. It should be a wide open race with first place up for grabs!
