Game Recap

The Grandville Varsity Softball team traveled to Secchia Field on the campus of Michigan State University on Thursday afternoon for the state semi-finals and came away with a victory defeating the Clarkston Wolves 2-1. The win propels the Dawgs to the state championship game on Saturday at 12:30pm versus the Cougars of Macomb Dakota.
Ellie Muilenburg was stellar in the circle going the distance allowing just 2 hits and 1 walk while striking out 9. Nikoma Holmen had a double, and singles from Kai Pommer, Kaitlyn Orme and Kalli Gibson highlighted the offense.
The Bulldogs reach the state championship game for the first time since 1982 when they were defeated by Royal Oak Kimball.
