Meet Recap

The Grandville Girls Varsity cross country team had a very successful showing at the Otsego Invitational on Saturday. Junior Madison Malon was the Division 1 champion, racing to her first place victory with a season best time of 18:16. Senior Audrey Royer came in 34th place, also running a season best time of 20:01. The trio of Alaina Carpenter, Jenna Brewer, and Grace Hoekema ran strong together, helping each other to 43rd, 44th, and 46th place finishes, respectively. Carpenter and Brewer both ran a season best 20:23, while Hoekema raced to a lifetime PR of 20:25. Freshman Kaylee Scott made her Varsity debut, coming in 57th and crushing her previous lifetime PR with a time of 21:25. Senior Isabella came in right after in 61st place with a time of 21:45. Congrats on some beautiful racing, ladies! The girls have a busy week ahead with an OK-Red Jamboree on Tuesday and the Portage Invitational on Saturday.
