Your men’s track and field team did it again finishing up the regular season by beating Rockford 70 to 67 at home last night. By ending the regular season at 4 and 1 your bulldog tracksters just turned in the best season in recent memory. After losing one of their fastest team members just before the meet the rest of the team stepped up in true bulldog fashion to pick up the slack and defeat the Rams. Gutty performances were turned in by Jalen Bel, Cass Millenbach, Matt Smith and Ben Sinclair on the track and a hurdling clinic was put on by Andrew Robinson, Kyle Buffin & Frankie Spica as they swept both hurdle races. The bulldog dominance continued off the track as the team won all 5 field events with Matt Porter winning pole vault, Noah Minasola winning the discus, Tyler Webb winning the shot put, Ben Sinclair winning the long jump and Sam Cornett winning the high jump. Important points were also scored by Will Jones, Garrett Organek and Brett Slagh for a true team effort. Congratulations on the best regular season in decades but we’re not done. Good luck at the conference meet at Grand Haven on Friday.
